BoxGrove Lion Club's 2nd annual Gala took place on Feb 4th, 2012 at the Verdi Banquet Hall in Malton.  The event was a huge success this year.  We were honoured to be the media sponsor for the event second year in a row. The event was filled with entertainment by Belly Up dancers, local singers, Jay Deala, Kat Eyez and lots more.

The year is over so reflections are in order. Here are a few things I've learnt, or should have learnt, in 2011.

All that glitters is not gold. Most things seem much better than they actually are. Once on the inside, you wonder what all the fuss is about. The only thing more annoying than your discovery is the fact that most people think you're having the time of your life. Then again, I'd rather people think that than have them know I'm languishing in the disappointment of broken dreams.
